Who we are and why we do this
RYCP Rwanda Community is a youth led social enterprise working to make young Rwandan businesses genuinely competitive, at home and abroad.
Born from a real problem, not a boardroom
RYCP stands for Rwanda Rural and Urban Youth Competitiveness Promoters. The organization was created because its founders kept seeing the same pattern: young people with strong ideas and real skills who could not move forward, because markets, finance, business services and networks were out of reach.
So we built the platform we wished existed. Registered under RDB as a Community Based Company under the 2021 legal framework, we now work from Maison des Jeunes in Kimisagara, one of the busiest youth hubs in Kigali, and serve entrepreneurs across the whole country.
We serve youth, women, persons with disabilities, small and medium micro entrepreneurs, farmers and creative industry practitioners. If you are building something, we are on your side.
Our Mission
To promote entrepreneurship, innovation, market expansion, skills development and strategic partnerships that strengthen the competitiveness and growth of youth led enterprises in both rural and urban communities.
Our Vision
To become a leading platform that empowers youth, women and persons with disabilities to build competitive, sustainable enterprises that contribute to Rwanda's social and economic transformation.
The principles we refuse to compromise on
Led by people who answer to the community
We are governed as a Community Based Company, which means our members are not just beneficiaries. They have a voice in how the organization is run and where it is heading.
- General Assembly that brings members together to set direction.
- Executive team responsible for programs, partnerships and daily operations.
- Cluster leads who understand agribusiness and the creative industry from the inside.

Where we are heading next
Our next chapter is ambitious on purpose. By 2028 we want to reach these milestones, and by 2031 to have gone well beyond them.
100 new exporters
Support at least 100 youth, women and persons with disabilities to enter export markets with products that meet international standards.
Regional aggregation centers
Establish aggregation centers that help farmers consolidate produce, meet quality standards and negotiate from a position of strength.
Nationwide services
Expand our entrepreneurship services beyond Kigali so that rural entrepreneurs get the same quality of support as urban ones.
Stronger value chains
Deepen the creative industry and agribusiness value chains while widening access to finance and markets for every member.
What we have delivered so far
These numbers come from our work between 2024 and 2026. Behind each one is a person whose business moved forward.
Agribusiness
Business development support, entrepreneurship training, access to financing information and an aggregation center concept for horticulture value chains.
Creative Industries
Business registration and formalization, quality improvement, collective organization and active advocacy for artists and creative entrepreneurs.
Exhibitions & Advocacy
4 exhibitions organized, 6 national and regional exhibitions joined, B2B and B2C engagements facilitated, plus policy work on employment and market access.
